Dr. Mariam Kamal

Dr. Mariam Kamal has been an animal lover for as long as she can remember. She completed her education at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. During her time at Penn, Dr. Kamal completed externships at the Animal Medical Center, the Philadelphia Zoo, the Sumatran Rhino Sanctuary in Indonesia and the Panthera wildlife conservation organization in New York City.


After graduating from Penn in 2011, Dr. Kamal completed a rotating internship in medicine and surgery at BluePearl Veterinary Partners New York. She then spent years working as an emergency veterinarian before transitioning to general practice. Dr. Kamal is also experienced in forensic veterinary science and routinely helps the ASPCA with anti-cruelty cases. She has been featured on television as a veterinary expert on NBC New York and New York 1.


Dr. Kamal has many other interests and passions. In 2017, she founded a charitable art company called Grinvites that showcases her unique animal art. She is also an award-winning photographer. Her artwork and photography have been featured in many news and media outlets, including People, CBS, Smithsonian Magazine, Audubon, and Forbes.


In her "free" time, Dr. Kamal loves making memories with her awesome family and exploring places like Costa Rica, Peru, Italy, and France. She lives on the Upper East Side with an endlessly entertaining cat named Ronald. She is obsessed with smoked salmon, Photoshop, Audible, Harry Potter, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Dr. Nani Cha


Dr. Cha received her BS from Washington State University in the beautiful Pacific Northwest and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2003.  She has practiced Emergency Veterinary Medicine and General Medicine & Surgery for Newton Veterinary Hospital and the Pet Wellness Network for 13+ years. She also provides relief coverage for Veterinarians.  Dr Cha has made hospital protocols for AAHA, analgesia, medical practice, and technician training. She has also been the hospital’s Blood Bank Coordinator.


Nani lives in Manhattan with her family and her dog Princess Leia (recently promoted to General). They often spend time in Queens with their grandparents.
