Pet Friendly Activities in NYC

Who let the dogs out?! Basically everyone in NYC, because we’re finally seeing some nice weather! We know that you probably want to enjoy some fun in the sun, but you shouldn’t be the only one who gets to have a good time. Take your pooch with you, and enjoy these pet-friendly activities in the Big Apple.

Dog-Friendly Eateries:

  • Shake Shack: If you’re out for a stroll in Madison Square Park, stop by Shake Shack for a snack for you and your pup. They offer a frozen treat called a “pooch-ini,” which contains a dog-approved vanilla custard, peanut butter sauce, and shackburger dog biscuits. You can also get bags of plain burger treats if that’s what your pup prefers.
  • Barking Dog Luncheonette: This dog-friendly cafe offers a water fountain and treat jars for your pets to enjoy while they dine with you outside. The entire mini-chain of luncheonettes is canine-themed, so your dog will feel right at home.

Doggy’s Night Out:

  • Puppy Prom 2017: Break out the diamond collars and bowties — your pup is going to the prom! This charity event benefits Yorkie 911, and will be held on June 10, 2017, at Toyota of Manhattan. Your dog can participate in the “Battle of the Pups and Pawrents – Lip Sync Contest” and compete to be crowned King or Queen of the prom. Start working on that pup promposal now, so your pup isn’t left without a date.

At Upper East Side Animal Hospital, we believe in treating your pets like they’re our own and make it our mission to keep them healthy. That way, you can take them with you on all your adventures. Keeping them up to date on their shots and making sure they have regular check-ups will ensure your pets live long and happy lives.
